Frequently asked questions
Which barcode formats are supported?
Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 39, ITF-14 and MSI. All seven are available on the free plan.
Does it check my value is valid?
Yes. Each format has its own rules — EAN-13 needs 13 digits, UPC-A needs 12 — and the app flags an invalid value rather than exporting a barcode that will not scan.
Can I generate barcodes in bulk?
Bulk generation from a CSV file is part of the one-time $6.99 upgrade. Generating them one at a time is unlimited and free.
What resolution is the export?
Free export is a PNG at the on-screen size. For print work, the upgrade adds high-resolution export up to 2048 pixels and SVG.
Will these scan on a real scanner?
They are generated to each format specification. As with any barcode, print size and contrast matter — test one with your scanner before running a large batch.
