Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. This page lists the few we use and how you can block the optional ones.
1. What we use
We use a small set of cookies to run the website and to understand which pages are useful:
| Cookie | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| mes_dev_session | Essential | Keeps you logged in and remembers form state |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Essential | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery |
| mdev_sid | Analytics (first-party) | Random session id so repeat page loads count as one visit; 1-day expiry; no personal data |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics (Google) | Google Analytics visitor identification (2-year expiry) |
2. Essential cookies
mes_dev_session and XSRF-TOKEN are needed for sign-in, forms and security. They cannot be switched off while you use an account.
3. Analytics cookies
mdev_sid (ours) and _ga (Google Analytics) help us see which pages and apps people use. They are not needed for the website to work. You can block them in your browser settings without losing any feature.
To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
4. Spam protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on some forms to block spam. It does not set persistent tracking cookies.
5. How to control cookies
Most browsers let you see, block or delete cookies in their settings (look for "Privacy" or "Cookies"). If you block all cookies, sign-in and some forms will stop working.
6. Our desktop apps
Our Windows apps do not use cookies and do not use web tracking.
7. More information
To learn what personal information we collect and why, read our Privacy Policy.
