Is my recording uploaded to trim it?
No. AudioForge cuts the file on your own PC with no internet connection, which is what makes it safe for interviews, client recordings and anything confidential.
Which formats can I trim?
MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG and AAC. You can trim in one format and export in another in the same pass.
Is there a limit on the length of the file?
No. Because nothing is uploaded, a three-hour recording is handled the same way a thirty-second one is.
Will trimming reduce the audio quality?
Cutting itself does not degrade the audio. Quality only changes if you deliberately export at a lower bitrate, which you control.
